This Privacy Policy explains how Entrepreneurs Cricket League (“ECL”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us through this website, including when you register to play, submit an enquiry, or make a payment.
Information We Collect
When you register as a player, we collect: your full name, phone number, city, player role, batting and bowling style, a player photo, and (optionally) a link to your CricHeroes profile. If you contact us through an enquiry form, we collect the details you provide there, such as your name, contact information, and message.
To verify your mobile number during registration, we send a one-time password (OTP) via SMS or WhatsApp using our verification provider. We do not store the OTP code itself beyond the short verification window.
When you pay the registration fee, your payment is processed directly by Razorpay, our payment gateway partner. We receive confirmation that a payment was completed along with a payment reference ID — we do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details ourselves.
How We Use Your Information
- To process and confirm your tournament registration.
- To verify your identity via mobile OTP before registration is accepted.
- To contact you about your registration, match schedules, or league updates.
- To display player details (such as name, role, and photo) on the website or promotional materials, where relevant to the league.
- To respond to enquiries or questions you submit to us.
- To process registration fee payments securely through Razorpay.
Cookies
Like most websites, this site uses cookies set by WordPress and the plugins that power it (for example, to remember form state or improve site performance). These are standard functional cookies and do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party services needed to run the site and the league:
- Razorpay – to process registration fee payments.
- Our OTP/SMS & WhatsApp verification provider – to deliver and verify the mobile OTP code.
- Tournament organizers & volunteers – to manage registrations, teams, and match logistics.
Data Retention
We keep registration information for as long as reasonably needed to run the current and upcoming seasons of the league, or until you ask us to delete it (subject to any records we must legally keep, such as payment records).
Your Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing us at the address below.
Children’s Privacy
This website and league registration are intended for adult participants. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
